The day gets dark at 5pm during winter, which sets the perfect mood to stay in with a good mystery to solve! I’ve rounded up a bunch of January’s new releases for a slew of reading tastes, from culinary cozy mysteries to fictional true crime podcasts!

There’s a middle grade mystery set in a school with a secret crime-fighting organization, two YA mysteries using the true crime podcast trope, a newly married man with previous dead lovers who now has a wife in the hospital, a murdered popular meteorologist, a missing best friend, and more!
