The Bestselling Books of the Week: The Crossword

via The Bestselling Books of the Week: The Crossword
Xin is a war orphan in a poor village in the kingdom of Qin. He has big dreams of becoming a great general, and when his best friend’s life is cut short by political machinations, Xin sets off to find a deposed ruler and help restore his place on the throne, while working his way up through the ranks of the Qin kingdom’s army to do what no one has ever done before—unify China.

I’ve been writing this bestselling books round up for quite a while now, so I thought I’d try something new: a crossword! Here’s a mini crossword puzzle made up of the titles and authors of the books on the bestseller list this week. Scroll down to the end of this post for the answers—or you can find them in the list itself!

On thing first: there’s a notable name I’m surprised isn’t on the bestseller list this week: Freida McFadden, who has been the reigning monarch of the thriller genre for quite a while. She has a movie adaptation coming out next month and had a new book come out in October, so there was plenty of opportunity. I’m sure we’ll see her again here soon.

Now, onto the crossword!

To get these numbers, we look at the New York Times, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts, both Fiction and Nonfiction; Publishers Weekly; USA Today; and Indie Bestsellers, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover.
