This week, there are a couple titles making their debut on this list. Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid was the #1 most popular book on the StoryGraph last week, but now it’s also made its way into the top five most-read books on Goodreads. Reid has been an author to watch since The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and this one is another sapphic historical novel, but following 1980s astronauts. The other new addition is Caught Up by Navessa Allen, book two in the dark romance series that started with Lights Out.

When Dok-go then saves the convenience store from a robbery, Mrs. Yeom offers him a job, despite some protests. He’s delighted, and he’s good at the job, winning over previous detractors. Just as things are looking up for Dok-go, though, Mrs. Yeom’s problematic son decides to hire a detective to learn more about the man’s history, including what memories he’s “forgotten.” —Kelly Jensen |
